Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences, thanks to the Erasmus + program, intensively strengthens inter-institutional relations! On October 4-8, Head of International Relations and Projects lect. Samanta Štraupaitė together with the Secretary-Rapporteur Anastasia Švetova visited partners in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, AERES University, which have faculties in Almere and Dronten. During the mobility, an intensive agenda of meetings was planned with Natasja Spaargaren, Head of the International Relations Department, and Anja Hetsen and Helen de Bas, Coordinators of the International Relations Department, during which the University’s International Relations Department was discussed and further cooperation opportunities were discussed. Kim Laura Koziol, Assistant in International Relations, and Margreet van Piljkeren, Dormitory Manager, showed off the campus and dormitories. Meetings were held at the Dronten faculty with Ruud Brons, Head of Documents and Archives, who introduced document storage and archiving systems; Elsbeth Kaufmann, Head of Sales and Logistics, who presented the study program and discussed possible areas for student exchange and joint research; Linda Oostveen, Head of Marketing, International Relations, who presented the publicity strategy at AERES University; Lianda Dijkstra, International Student Coordinator, who presented the procedure and system for admitting Erasmus + students, and a meeting with Dinand Ekkel, Head of the Applied Research Department, who was introduced to the Management Journal “Management” and discussed opportunities for research collaboration. The staff of the College visited the Faculty of the University and the city of Almere, where they met with the Director of the Faculty of Almere Wil Bekkering, introduced Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences and the city of Klaipėda and discussed the Erasmus staff week event planned for the University in May. The College of Almere also presented the College’s activities and study programs to Frank Braakhuis, Head of the Sustainable Business and Smart Management Study Program, and Kees Jansen, Head of the Geomedia Design and Informatics Study Program. During the visit, the Head of International Relations and Projects lect. Samanta Štraupaitė read at 8 p.m. a series of lectures on Leadership for AERES University students.
After this visit, it is hoped that the institutions will gain more interest among students through Erasmus + exchanges and it is planned to expand cooperation in project activities!
