Lithuanian Business College (LTVK), together with its partners, is implementing the international project CinnovatE, funded under the European Institute of Innovation and Technology’s Higher Education Initiative (EIT HEI Initiative). Within the framework of the project, a pilot study was conducted to assess the innovation support and technology transfer potential of selected higher education institutions.
The evaluation results showed that the three analyzed Lithuanian higher education institutions have already begun systematically integrating innovation and circular economy areas into studies, scientific research, and cooperation with regional partners. However, the identified challenges highlighted the need to further strengthen innovation support structures, expand international collaboration, and ensure sustainable competence development at the institutional level.
The conducted analysis serves as a basis for future changes – its insights will help strategically strengthen innovation ecosystems, while the CinnovatE project will provide the necessary tools and support. The benefits will reach everyone: students – through opportunities to implement ideas and develop businesses; lecturers and researchers – through the practical application of scientific results; businesses and regions – through stronger partnerships and innovative solutions, society – through sustainable solutions and new employment opportunities.
