Adaptation Week at Lithuania Business College: opening doors to new opportunities
A new academic journey is about more than lectures, schedules and classrooms. It is also about discovering a new environment, meeting the people who will accompany you along the way, becoming part of a community and recognising the opportunities that can shape your studies and future.
On 3–4 September, Lithuania Business College (LBC) welcomed it’s international students to Adaptation Week – the first step towards becoming familiar with the College, its academic environment and the opportunities available throughout their studies.
The students were welcomed by the co-founders of Lithuania Business College, Prof. Dr. Angelė Lileikienė and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Genovaitė Avižonienė, and the Director of LBC, Prof. Dr. Jurgita Martinkienė. The new academic year also brought together the international academic community: the students received a warm welcome from Signe Vaičulena, Director of Biznesa vadības koledža, marking the importance of international connections and cooperation from the very beginning of their studies.
During the introductory meetings, students had an opportunity to learn more about the study process and the people behind it. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kristina Puleikienė, Deputy Director for Quality and Studies, introduced the key aspects of studying at LBC, while Assoc. Prof. Regina Narkienė, Head of the Management Department, presented the academic environment and study-related opportunities.
Students also met Online Studies Coordinator Ingrida Sirvydaitė, Online Studies Administrator Lina Gasiūnaitė and IT Specialist Karolis Venclovas, who introduced the digital tools, systems and practical solutions that will support students throughout their studies.
But becoming part of LBC means more than getting to know the study process. During a tour of the College, Marketing and Communication Department Coordinator Modestas Vaikšnoras and Enrollment Department Coordinator Ona Labžentytė helped students discover the College from another perspective – as a space where academic life, communication, international experiences, new connections and personal growth come together.
Adaptation Week also marked the transition from introduction to the actual study experience. Following the introductory activities, students began their first lectures, opening a new chapter of academic life at Lithuania Business College.
The first days at LBC are only the beginning. New people, new knowledge and new experiences are already opening doors to growth, international opportunities and future careers. Now it is time for every student to discover their own space at Lithuania Business College and make it their own.
