PROFADIENIS 2026 – EVENT DESCRIPTION

Mission – to provide young people with an opportunity to gain a closer understanding of how businesses operate.

Objectives:

  1. To help young people understand the specific features of business operations by analysing real-life business situations.
  2. To share different personal experiences from the business environment.

Project participants – active and talented students from Lithuanian universities and higher education institutions.

Selection

Students participate in teams of three. There are no restrictions regarding age, study programme, mode of study, or year of study.

The selection consists of two types of tasks:

  • Business case analysis (online interview).
  • Creation of a business case.

Teams receive a description of a business situation and analyse it. They are given 30 minutes to familiarise themselves with the situation and identify the key problem. The situation is then discussed with a moderator in the form of a video discussion lasting 20–25 minutes.

The video discussion consists of:

  • 2–3 min. – introduction and getting acquainted;
  • 10–12 min. – analysis and discussion;
  • 5–7 min. – proposed solutions;
  • 3–5 min. – summary.

Business case video interviews will take place from September 7 to October 9, 2026.

Student teams will prepare their own business case based on the example analysed during the first stage and following the provided business case preparation guidelines.

Business cases will be created from October 9 to 16.

Tasks are assessed using a points-based system. Each part is worth a maximum of 50 points, giving a total maximum score of 100 points.

FINAL EVENT

The final stage is an inter-team business case analysis competition, during which students analyse business cases created by other teams and receive an evaluation from the judging panel.

Participants:

20 teams of three students. The teams represent different educational institutions.

Event format:

Business cases are assigned randomly during the event. Each participating team receives a case description and analyses it by reading the case, identifying the problem, personal dilemma and key business aspects, and preparing solutions.

Teams are given 60 minutes to analyse the case and prepare their solutions.

The cases are presented in two separate rooms, with 10 teams (30 students) in each room.

Presentations take place in sessions involving two teams that have analysed the same business case. During the presentation, team members introduce the key problem identified in the case and present their proposed solutions.

Each team is given 4 minutes to present its analysis and solutions, followed by 10–12 minutes for discussion. Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes.

The judging panel consists of four business experts, who comment on the presentations and ask questions.

Final event date – October 28, 2026.
