Erasmus staff week 2022 is gaining momentum at Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences

The first guests of the Erasmus+ International Week started arriving at Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences on Monday. Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences on May 3’rd officially opened Erasmus staff week 2022.

The founder of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences, Prof. dr. Angelė Lileikienė, Director of the University Assoc. prof. dr. Jurgita Martinkienė and Deputy Director for Studies and Quality Assoc. prof. Kristina Puleikienė. The Head of International Relations and Projects, together with the Head of Strategic Development and Communication Department, introduced Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences, its history, activities and outstanding features and strengths to guests from partner institutions. This year, the Erasmus staff week of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences is exceptional, because after the break caused by the pandemic we received a large number of guests, more than 30 participants from 14 different countries and 25 partner institutions. We received participants from the following countries: Poland, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Portugal, the Czech Republic, Latvia, the United Kingdom, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Latvia, Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The University’s Erasmus staff week also represents an even larger number of universities: Siedlce University of Natural Sciences and Humanities, Gaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi, University Miguel Hernández, Universidad Isabel I, Kastamonu University, Bayburt University, Mersin University, Hitit University, Università Europea di Roma, Instituto de Estudos Superiores de Fafe, VŠB-Technical University of Ostrava, Manisa Celal Bayar University, Your Company UG, Giresun University, Wszechnica Polska University, Durham University, Goce Delcev University of Stip, Universidade da Madeira, Transilvania University of Brasov, Bahçeşehir University, South-West University “Neofit Rilski”, Banking University, University of Tuzla, IT STEP University, State University of Applied Sciences in Wloclawek and Ryga Technical University. After the presentation of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences, discussions and seminars were held on the topics: “Guest behavior in hospitality, changes and challenges”, “Intercultural communication”. After an afternoon break, Erasmus staff week was followed by presentations of the guests of the international week, which took place in various forms, from introductory games to tasting of traditional country sweets. After the presentations of the guests, there was a discussion and research networking, in which the heads of the departments of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences communicated with the guests and discussed possible further directions and opportunities for cooperation through various project and scientific activities. The intense and constructive day ended with a gala dinner at a restaurant in the heart of Klaipeda’s Old Town. However, Erasmus staff week did not end there, it just gained momentum, and new activities await guests the next day. One of the strategically important areas of activity of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences is the development of internationality, through Erasmus+ exchanges, international projects, various activities with international institutions and memberships and other areas of activity. We are pleased to have a large group of international partners and great opportunities for the development of internationalization.
