The Nineteenth International Student Scientific Methodological Symposium took place at Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences

The International Student Scientific Methodological Symposium “Academic Aims of Youth: Insights into Economics, Management, Law and Technology 2022”, organized annually by the Department of Applied Research, took place on 6 May. Youth: Insights in Economy, Management, Law and Technologies), which takes place in the spring at Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences.

The student representative office of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences helps to organize the symposium. This year it coincided that the symposium became the closing event of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences international week – Erasmus staff week. The event took place in a mixed way live in University, and via the Google meet platform. Each participant was given the opportunity to participate fully in the event and remotely. The director of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences, Assoc. dr. Jurgita Martinkienė, President of the Student Representation of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences Silvija Aleksandravičiūtė. Speakers at the plenary session were: Erdem Akkan, Relationship Marketing in the Maritime Industry, Mersin University, Turkey; Xinming He, Innovation Recycling, Innovation Sourcing Modes, and Innovation Ability, Durham University, United Kingdom; Vaida Bačiulienė “The Development of Managers’ Creative Energy Potential in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 Era ”, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuania. The International Student Scientific Methodological Symposium was divided into two sections, the moderator of Section I was the representative of the students of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences Einoras Žiogas, the commission: the head of the Department of Economics of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences doc. dr. Izolda Skruibytė and Deputy Director for Studies and Quality doc. Kristina Puleikienė. Section II moderator – Rokas Žuolis, student representative of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences, commission: Head of the Department of Technology of Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences doc. dr. Simona Grigaliūnienė and Head of the Department of Law doc. Renata Šliažienė. In total, more than 50 students from: Lithuania, Latvia, Turkey, Romania, Portugal, India, etc. took part in the conference. During the conference, more than 40 papers were presented, representing the following higher education institutions: Kaunas University of Technology, Šiauliai State College, Lithuania Business University of Applied Sciences, Liepaja University, Hitit University, Al.l. Cuza University of Lasi, Bucharest University of Economic Studies, Tarsus University, Mersin University, Lovely Professional University, University of Evora. Presentations at the symposium were in English, and articles in the peer – reviewed collection of the International Student Research Symposium were also presented in English.

The aim of the symposium is to stimulate young people’s interest in innovations in economics, management and technology, and to develop the competencies of student researchers.
