Consortium Meeting of the CINNOVATE Project: Progress and Future Steps
On September 10, 2025, a consortium meeting of the project “CINNOVATE – Towards future circular cities through innovative education and entrepreneurship” took place, bringing together project partners to review the progress achieved and outline the next stages of implementation.
During the meeting, each partner institution presented their recent contributions to the project. Lithuania Business College (LBC) shared updates on its key responsibilities under several work packages.
One of the main areas of focus was WP2 – Structural Changes, where LBC is leading important tasks aimed at strengthening innovation support and technology transfer structures within higher education institutions. So far, a comprehensive questionnaire for assessing entrepreneurship and technology transfer systems has been developed and piloted across partner institutions. In addition, LBC presented the initial concept for a Sustainable Entrepreneurship Incubator, which is planned to be launched during Phase 2 of the project (January 2026 – April 2027). This incubator will serve as a platform to support student-led innovations in the field of circular economy.
Another significant area of LBC’s involvement lies within WP4 – Training Programs, which focuses on integrating circular economy principles into higher education curricula. LBC has developed course descriptions for several new programs aimed at both students and academic staff. For students, programs such as Reverse Logistics in the Circular Economy and Green Fintech Solutions are currently under development. For staff members, topics include Circularity in Traditional Business, Sharing Economy, and Green and Blue Economy Solutions. The course descriptions are complete, and curriculum development is ongoing.
The meeting not only highlighted the progress made so far but also provided an opportunity for partners to coordinate future actions and ensure the successful implementation of upcoming project phases. With continued collaboration, the CINNOVATE project is well-positioned to contribute to more innovative, sustainable, and future-ready higher education systems across Europe.
