The Tourism and Entertainment Business Industry study programme aims to train qualified professionals capable of researching, analyzing the tourism and entertainment business environment and adapting to the changing business environment, modern labor market requirements, establishing and managing tourism, entertainment and wellness services companies, making innovative decisions, increasing competitive advantage, and developing and organizing targeted service packages.
The study programme focuses not only on the development of professional special competencies, but also on the broad development of key competences, values, responding to the current tourism and entertainment sector specialist, managerial competencies, based on knowledge transfer and analysis, critical assessment, problem solving, the application of innovative measures.

In order for college graduates to find successfully employment and remain competitive in the labor market, practical training predominates in the programme. Internships are performed in successfully operating Lithuanian tourism and event business companies. Social partners of this programme: Hotel Amberton Klaipeda, Smiltyne Yacht Club, Center of Klaipeda Tourism and Culture Information, Klaipeda Center of Region Tourism Information, Ltd Amadeus Lietuva, Linksmas Lagaminas and others. Students also have excellent opportunities to study and perform internships in foreign HEI through via exchange programs.
Career opportunities: Graduates of this programme can work as specialists in tourism information centers, organizers and guides of excursions and educational programmes in museums, guides, managers – consultants in travel agencies, managers in accommodation and catering establishments, event organizers – companies organizing events, leisure and entertainment centers, accommodation, spas and wellness centers, as well as enterprising and entrepreneurial graduates who can set up and run their own businesses.
Opportunities for further studies: Graduates can apply for credit transfer if they want to study according to university undergraduate study programmes. After completing additional studies or fulfilling other requirements set by the higher education institution, they have the right to enter the second cycle master’s studies.

THE AIM – to prepare qualified managers who would be able to make research and analyse the market of tourism and entertainment business, business environment and its development trends, to create packages of services and to organize their sales, to establish and manage enterprises that provide tourism, entertainment, beauty and wellness services. | |
THE LEARNING OUTCOMES | |
1. Knowledge and their application: | 1.1. Recognises and understands the key concepts and principles of tourism and entertainment stemming from the basic theories of business and public administration sciences, is able to apply them in practice in the tourism and entertainment industry. |
1.2. Knows and understands the general principles of business, management, marketing, law, psychology, geography and other sciences and is able to apply them to ensure development of tourism and entertainment business. | |
2. Research competence: | 2.1. Is able to use analytic and statistic instruments in his/her work, to capitalise on the progress of social and management sciences, to gather and combine qualitative and quantitative data, to forecast the trends of development in tourism and entertainment in the social context. |
2.2. Is able to conduct applied research in business management, to apply theories and research methods of management sciences, to analyse, interpret and use information required for professional performance, to formulate conclusions of research, to identify the factors having effect on the tourism development. | |
3. Special competences: | 3.1. Is able to base his/her professional performance on understanding and insight into the ways of functioning of the tourism and leisure industry and its change patterns, to analyse and assess the process and phenomena of tourism and entertainment industry business, to process and assess information. |
3.2. Is able to establish, organize and carry out activities of tourism and entertainment entities, to create high-demand products of business services for tourism, leisure and entertainment sectors, understanding the needs of the market and providing prospects. | |
3.3. Is able to independently make his/her own suggestions on improvement of performance of the tourism and entertainment entities and implementation of innovations, to create media projects, to publicise them on the social media. | |

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
1. Persons only with diploma of secondary education/or relevant can apply for studies in Lithuania Business College (LBC). Diploma of secondary education gained in international country must be certificated with by Apostille by Consulate. The studies are open to any age group.
2. LBC provides full time studies for international students in English and Russian languages.
3. Student must pass the English language verification procedure: first of all provide English language proficiency certificate (copy), his/her English language skills are tested at the embassy by submitting documents during the interview, continue to pass the English language proficiency test with a representative from the admissions committee of LBC during a distance interview, and the student’s English language skills are tested by a foreign language English teacher by completing a motivation letter for the student. Final student English language proficiency has to be non-less than level B.
