Continuation of the International Student Symposium – Laureates’ Trip to Strasbourg

The Grand Prix laureates of the 23rd International Scientific Student Symposium „Academic Aspirations of Youth: Insights in Economy, Management, Law and Technologies 2026“, held on April 24, 2026, at the Lithuania Business College (LBC), – Inga Gecevičiūtė (LBC), Greta Slapšytė (Kaunas College), and Evelina Verbickaitė (Vilnius College) – visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg. This trip became a meaningful continuation of the symposium, providing the laureates with an opportunity to complement their academic knowledge with practical experience in a European context.
The essence of the symposium lies not only in the presentation of students’ scientific research, but also in fostering critical thinking, academic dialogue, and international cooperation. For this reason, it became a significant academic event, bringing together a community of young researchers from higher education institutions in Lithuania and abroad. The symposium strengthened students’ engagement in scientific activity and the academic community, while the authors of the highest-rated papers demonstrated research of the highest academic standard, distinguished by relevance, innovation, and practical value.
Both the symposium itself and the Grand Prix award – a trip to the European Parliament, established by Member of the European Parliament Liudas Mažylis – create long-term value by encouraging the motivation of young researchers, broadening their international outlook, fostering civic awareness, and demonstrating that students’ scientific ideas can become a meaningful part of broader social and European dialogue.
LBC expresses its sincere gratitude to Member of the European Parliament Liudas Mažylis for providing students with this opportunity to broaden their horizons in an intercultural environment – initiatives such as this are an invaluable experience that help students grow both personally and professionally.
LBC also extends its thanks to all students who participated in this year’s traditional symposium, as the quality and strength of their scientific work once again proved how valuable, important, and essential this event is for the entire Lithuanian academic community.
Let us remember this year’s symposium HERE and NOW – and meet again next year!
