Lithuania Business College continues to strengthen its role as a socially responsible higher education institution by creating space for meaningful dialogue, empathy, and civic engagement — turning social responsibility into action here and now.
On May 15, students and academic staff participated in the interactive workshop “Journey into Exile”, organized in cooperation with Refugee Council Lithuania (RCL) as part of the VolEver initiative.
The workshop combined discussions on migration, volunteering, digital innovation, and refugee support with an immersive simulation experience that invited participants to step into the realities faced by displaced people worldwide. Through role-play, decision-making scenarios, and reflection sessions, participants explored the human side of forced migration and the importance of inclusive communities.
Participants were also introduced to the VolEver mobile application, designed to connect volunteers with people in need and encourage practical social engagement within local communities.
At Lithuania Business College, we believe that awareness must lead to action. By addressing today’s social challenges through education, collaboration, and innovation, we encourage our community to create a positive impact not someday, but HERE and NOW.
We thank Refugee Council Lithuania for the inspiring collaboration and all participants for their openness, engagement, and willingness to learn.
